FAQs

  • Life & health coaching is a partnership, relationship and mentorship between a client and coach. Coaching uses a holistic approach to address gaps between where a client is and where they want to be in many different areas of life. Coaching creates a confidential, loving, space to talk about your concerns. We start with an introduction meeting, what I call a discovery call, where we get to know each other. You share your primary concerns, challenges, and goals, while I share my approach and philosophy. We then create a custom coaching plan to fit your unique needs where we will begin by assessing the roots of the current situation and proceed to establish a path that creates new thoughts and behaviors that will give you the results you desire.

I’m here to remind and guide clients of how amazing life gets to be. Your best life is right around the corner!

  • Often, therapy starts with the question, “What’s wrong?” While coaching starts with “What’s right?”

Therapy is like the GPS in a car that shows you where you are and where you have been, while coaching is like the directions that show you how to get where you want to go, routing you around all the traffic and construction. They work together.

Is life hard? Does it have to be? What if you could manifest things to be easy? Enjoyable? Joyful? This is what we explore and discover. The big question we delve into in our coaching is: “How can I manifest more of what I want in my life?”

The focus of coaching isn’t to help heal past traumas or analyze what we have done wrong; coaching is a practice of identifying what we desire most, embodying that energy, and then gaining clarity on what we need to DO, how we need to BE and who we need to BECOME in order to manifest what we desire in our lives.

  • Therapy is an extremely helpful modality in supporting clients through self-awareness, self-discovery and healing.

Life coaches are not mental health professionals, but coaching can serve as a complement to therapy. Coaching sessions offer additional support to alleviate some of the symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression by offering different but supporting ways to change your mindset, behavior and create better lifestyle habits.

Therapists diagnose and treat mental health conditions such as, helping people process trauma, resolve relationship conflict, and cope with addiction among other issues. Working with a therapist or psychologist can also help someone deal with unresolved mental health concerns, such as mood and anxiety disorders, processing grief, or other similar conditions.

It’s not an either/or situation; many of my coaching clients also work with a therapist and find the combination helpful in achieving better physical and mental health while accelerating their path to reach their goals and live their best life. If you’re wondering if coaching may be supportive for your unique situation, schedule an introduction call.

  • You don’t need to wait for a challenging time or a big life transition to consider working with a coach. For instance, you may find that you’re looking to improve your life in some way but aren’t sure what’s missing or how to find it. The most successful people, from athletes to business owners, all have coaches supporting them to become the best version of themselves.

Many of my clients are life-long learners who continually seek ways to achieve their best life, living in their fullest potential and coaching is essential to supporting those desires. Others are in a transition period of life and seek support and assurance that they are not alone.

For those who are experiencing challenges, coaching helps them gain momentum, clarity, condense timelines and develop healthy coping tools for dealing with challenges in their professional or personal lives.

In short, working with a coach is something you can start at any time! Schedule an introduction call and we can explore more about how we can work together.

  • When it comes to selecting a coach, the most important thing to consider is selecting someone you feel comfortable with. For any coach to be effective, it is critical that clients are honest, vulnerable, and forthright with their coach. That can only happen if the client connects and feels comfortable with the coach. Find a coach that holds the space for you the way you need it and is someone who inspires you. You’ll want to feel like your coach is your cheerleader, and that their good energy is contagious.

I have a background in nutrition and integrated health. As a graduate of the Institute of Integrated Nutrition, I hold a certificate in Health Coaching and participate in continuing education. In addition to working with my own coaches and mentors, I am in progress to receive my Master Coach certification through the Elementum Coaching Institute. The Elementum Coaching Institute is the #1 coaching program in the world. I am honored to be one of the 100 members of their 2022 class.

The best way to determine if a coach is the right fit for you is to have a conversation and get to know them. You can schedule an introduction call to explore if we may be a good fit!

  • Typically, one-to-one coaching starts over zoom. As time goes on and we build a relationship, there may be activities or an opportunity to move our coaching sessions in person. I offer a variety of online and in-person workshops and events as part of my practice. These serve as an opportunity to connect with a group of like-minded women in your community and engage in intentional conversation. The best way to stay informed about my latest offerings and events is to subscribe to my newsletter. I hope to meet you soon!

  • I focus on meeting my clients where they are along their journey by customizing a package that is best suited for their needs. This may look like: one-to-one coaching with weekly sessions with additional text support in between. Individual coaching is best for clients that prefer privacy for complicated and/or personal challenges. I also offer small group programs which are typically a few weeks/months in length and are great for clients that would benefit from community support or enjoy supporting others along their journey. Additionally, I host monthly in-person events, an annual wellness retreat and online workshops. The events section of my website includes information on upcoming events and programs. The best way to stay informed about my latest offerings and events is to subscribe to my newsletter via my website.

  • When working with a coach, you can expect to transform and evolve. This transformation may manifest itself in physical ways or in mental and emotional ways. Working with a coach is having a true partner, friend and mentor always by your side cheering you on and supporting you with unconditional love. A coach helps us become the best version of ourselves by offering a judgement free and safe space to express openly and freely, knowing that you are loved and belong no matter what you say or bring to a session. Coaches help clients love themselves, set and hold healthy boundaries, gain clarity into what is important, and support them in taking action to achieve their desires. Like everything in life, what someone gets out of coaching depends on what they put into it. Clients that experience the most accelerated and lasting transformations are committed to themselves, loving themselves for both who they currently are, and who they aspire to become. Through coaching, these clients experience greater joy and satisfaction, confidence, improved health and wellbeing and are happier overall in their everyday lives, relationships and interactions.
